​​My name is Kelcie, and I live in West River, Maryland, where I raise my children, dogs, goats, and chickens on our family-owned and operated cut-your-own Christmas tree farm, Holiday Memories Farm. Farming is not a backdrop to our life — it is our everyday rhythm. Animals are cared for hands-on, routines are intentional, and responsibility is learned early and lived daily.

CK Cavaliers was built within this lifestyle. Our puppies are raised in a real home, on a working farm, surrounded by people, sounds, movement, and love. This environment creates confident, adaptable puppies who are well-prepared for family life beyond our farm gates.
How Our Puppies Are Raised
Every CK Cavaliers puppy is hand-raised in our home by my children and me. Our dogs are true family members — they eat with us, relax on the couch, sleep nearby, ride in the car, and are fully integrated into daily life. Dogs are a lifelong commitment here, not a temporary chapter.

Our puppies are never confined to kennels or isolated spaces. They have large, enriching play areas designed to encourage curiosity, confidence, and sensory development. These spaces include tunnels, hanging toys, textured surfaces, and intentional exposure to sound.
​
The only time a puppy is crated is for safe travel to the veterinarian. Otherwise, they are free to explore, play, rest, and bond in a calm, nurturing environment.
Early Development & Socialization
All CK Cavaliers puppies receive Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a protocol believed to positively impact neurological development when performed correctly. ENS helps gently challenge the nervous system early, supporting improved stress tolerance and adaptability later in life.
In addition to ENS, puppies are exposed to a variety of controlled soundscapes and real-life experiences. When new sounds or environments are introduced, I am always present to comfort and support them, helping form positive associations. Many families later remark that their puppy is remarkably unfazed by storms, baths, grooming tools, or everyday household noises — a direct result of early, intentional exposure.

Above all, puppies receive an extraordinary amount of handling, affection, and interaction, laying the foundation for the sweet, stable temperaments CK Cavaliers is known for.
Our Dogs & Breeding Program
I have been a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breeder since 2019, and this work is truly a passion. I am proud to have earned recognition as a responsible breeder on GoodDog, including a badge from Merritt, and to have been featured as Maryland’s #2 Cavalier Breeder.
My love for the breed began with Mia Mae, my first Cavalier and the heart behind this program. Mia’s gentle, loyal, and affectionate nature made a lasting impression on our family and inspired everything CK Cavaliers stands for today. She is now retired and happily enjoying her role as our “Grammie.”

Mia’s son, Teddy, is a Cavapoo and an integral part of both our breeding program and our family. True to his name, he is affectionate, intuitive, and deeply connected to his people. Ruby Mae, who joined our program in 2023, is our active breeding female — a beautiful Ruby Cavalier producing puppies with excellent structure, health, and disposition.

Each dog in our program is chosen thoughtfully and loved deeply.
Family Involvement & Puppy Placement
Ethical breeding means ethical placement. I take great care in getting to know my families and matching each puppy thoughtfully to their future home.

Approved families are welcome to visit and bond with their puppy before going home, because that early connection matters. Families are also invited to a private Facebook group for their specific litter, where I personally share updates from pregnancy through go-home day. You’ll see your puppy grow day by day, experiencing life here on the farm.

When puppies go home, each family receives a thoughtfully prepared Puppy Home Bag, including veterinary and vaccine records, current food, a comfort blanket, and a stuffed animal scented with mom and littermates, and essential guidance for those first days at home. Each litter also includes a special surprise gift, because every puppy journey deserves to be celebrated.
